The nurses joked about giving me my own badge last night since I spent so much time relaying kendra's needs and helping where i could to make the nurses lives easier along with my baby (kendra) and our babies. Wrapping the babies up like burritos and changing diapers is getting to be second nature already! Both Babies are breastfeeding well and we are thankful for that.
Easton is our little piglet, eating for more than 40 minutes on his second feeding! it's amazing how kendra and easton knew immediately what to do to get nourishment. She is such a natural at knowing exactly what to do to keep the twins peaceful and happy. Easton had a bath and there's nothing like that new-baby smell. :) for some reason, i've nick-named him Superman!
Layla had to have some formula through the night, but just finished her first good breast-feeding along with her brother at the same time! Kendra was able to keep them both feeding with no problem. Layla loves to have her hands by her face, just like she did for the entire pregnancy. We never saw her face during any of the ultrasounds because she kept herself hidden. Seeing her face when she first came out was one of the only "surprises" we experienced since we learned every detail of Kendra's pregnancy along the way that we could. I nicknamed her "Lovely Layla" for now.
Here is one last picture I thought was priceless of the proud grandmothers loving on their grandbabies:All three are sleeping now and the grandparents will be here soon to spend some more time with us. It looks like we will be here until Sunday and we're in NO hurry to leave since the hospital is taking such good care of us. I'll post again later this afternoon!
