Lexi and the gang

Hello and welcome back to another blog post about our adventures with twins! My brother, his wife and their foster daughter, Lexi arrived safely from Missouri late last night. This morning our house turned into a playground complete with introductions.

The first meeting between Lexi and the twins was welcoming and they played together very well. She is an absolute sweetheart of a child. Mealtimes were managed like an assembly line where the three high chair trays were all pre-loaded to avoid riots.

Easton decided to see if it is possible to get more cream cheese on his face than in his mouth.

Mission accomplished. I call his efforts successful because I picked cream cheese out of his nose and hair for the rest of the evening until bathtime.

Earlier in the day Kendra and Debbie shopped and bought a small plastic pool. The three amigos doffed their clothes to enjoy a refreshing playtime. The adults laughed and the babies splashed. The babies wore themselves out and practically emptied the water out of the little pool with their splashing efforts.

WFMW

This brings me to the weekly edition of WFMW (Works For Me Wednesday) where I share a bit of wisdom from the experience and knowledge gained during our adventures with twins.

Turtle pool cost = $14
Water Table cost = $35

I can assure you our babies are more interested in the pool than the water table so for summer fun it's an easy (and cheaper) choice. They are the same cheap, flimsy plastic pools we all had back in the 70's and not much has changed. Usually I'm a big fan of "new and improved", but in this instance, simpler is better so skip the water table and go straight to the turtle pool. The ONE drawback is when playing the pool naked (as opposed to clothed water table fun) you must accept the risk of someone pooping in the pool if you're not willing to put them in swimsuits or swim diapers. We also found this out the hard way in an incident I'll never forget as long as I live.

Disclaimer: All parties are innocent until proved guilty in a court of law.

The four Webbs spent an excellent day with my brother and his family. We still have a lot of catching up to do, but Layla felt at ease enough to squeeze his nose and check his dental work. She's jealous of his molars...

We took a trip to Tempe and to our surprise, the Honda Pilot fit 4 adults and three carseats. It wasn't pretty and B.J. had a leg cramp from crawling over the seat, but it worked! We wondered by a fountain on the way to the parking garage and stopped for a photo opportunity. I'm very proud of the 4 Webbs... We make a great team and family.

I'm heading to bed now because 7 AM will arrive with giggles from Easton and Layla. Time waits for NO man... and neither do twins with soggy diapers at 7:00 AM.

See you soon.
