Halloween Candy Rush

Too tired to think coherently much less write at a kindergarten level.  The house is officially ours and the occupants are gone a few days earlier than projected.  We gave them 75 days notice to vacate and they used 70 days.  Sure puts us in a time crunch, but we are so excited to be there that we don't even care about those minor details.  We trick-or-treated in our new neighborhood while meeting all of our neighbors...  in my Buzz Lightyear costume.  After all, you never get a second chance to make a first impression!

Easton and Layla's attention span only lasted about 12 houses then they were ready to go home.  Worked out fine because we didn't need more candy than they scored.  On Sunday Layla went to church with me while Kendra stayed home with Easton because he had a fever.  Church requested all children dress up as their favorite Bible character.  Layla chose Queen Esther (with some guidance from Kendra).  The costume looked lovely on her.  She played the part perfectly even down to the hand wave and politeness.

We are tearing up pergo, linoleum, tile, and carpet.  I appreciate my day job more every single day.  This manual labor stuff is for the birds...  10 more days of reconstructing the home and we will be ready to move in on the 12th!

See you soon!
