Attempted Video Log

Greetings friends and family,

This is my first attempt at a using a video to share our adventures.  Instead of typing the stories in line with the picture I took this video to give my stories a voice.  Turn on your audio and play the YouTube clip.  Then follow along with the pictures below.

At the library refilling the enormous bag to meet the reading requests of the next week.

One particularly interesting book about storm chasers where Easton was in tears when I told him we didn't have room this time to check it out.

Easton's got a kicking leg like you wouldn't believe

Layla has excellent dribbling skills and balance

Look out, co-ed soccer league!  This dynamic duo could be explosive together.

New car seats after 4 years of comfy riding.

Easton...  Like a boss.

Arizona Children's museum is extraordinary and the family day-trip was well worth it.  3-story jungle gym?  Yes.

Did Daddy climb and slide too?  Yes, absolutely.  This is called "being involved" instead of playing on my cell phone like the other 15 dads on the ground floor.

Air current + tubing = magic for 4-year-olds.

Patiently waiting on the little one by showing good manners.

Grocery shopping shelves are intentionally accessible for little ones like Layla.

You want-a double pizza pie, eh?

Don't sass the chef!

Proof of Layla's silliness.

The man and the boy.  Some day this will no longer be true, but for now he's mini-me.  Here's a list of the job I have cut out for me for the next 17 years.  Man Vs. Boy : http://www.manvsboy.com/list.php

Cactus.  Owl.  Conveyor belt.  Oscillating guillotine fan.  What more could a boy ask for?

Chocolate cone and blue scoop of ice cream, coming right up!

ride Faster, FASTER!  on the iron horse...

Look ma, no hands.

Craft stations provided a door prize for our visit.

In awe of gravity and physics.  Mr. Scientist is coming alive.

If you are UNDER 42 inches and enter our house, then prepare to play dress up whether you like it or not.

This is what it would be like to have quads at age 4.  No thanks.  Better Kendra for a day than me though!

Let me know if the video log was better or worse than normal and I'll adjust the delivery mechanism accordingly.

See you soon!

Loved the video log...or vlog. :) My personal oppinion is that it enables you to add more pictures than you normally would because you don't have to type up a story for each of them. I will always vote for more pictures! Also, when the incredible duo look back on this, they will be able to hear your voice and how you talk about each of them individually. That is really priceless. I'm terribly behind on the boys' blog, but I've been thinking about doing vlogs to 'catch up'. An added bonus would be that you could also let your family do guest posts (Kendra and any other family members) and leave video messages to Easton and Layla. Alright...this should've been an email instead of a comment, seeing as how I've written more than a couple sentences! My vote is for whatever keeps the blog going, whether it's more video or less. Good job! ~Marisue

I enjoyed hearing my boy's voice in the video log! It was so interesting to see the places you visit and the cute expressions on the twins faces. If you could remember to keep your voice at a consist loudness so that my "old ears" could hear it all, it would help me. Love ya gobs and can't wait to come see u all. MOM

Thank you for the feedback! Glad it came across well. I'll try to speak more clearly and consistently.
