Owl Towel

Greetings friends and family,

Easton and Layla woke up to a wonderful surprise!  The twins had no idea Ouma and Oupa were coming to visit for a few days.  As the twins ate breakfast Ouma and Oupa casually walked into the kitchen.  Easton and Layla's reaction was priceless.  I could tell their little minds were working to comprehend what was going on.  After a quick few seconds of processing they jumped up and gave lots of hugs and kisses.

One of the gifts Ouma brought was an owl towel for each of them.  The hood is very practical and it even has pockets on the end to put your hands in so it looks like wings when their arms are open.

Easton's required some sewing and hand-made touches because they only made pink.  His is a one-of-a-kind Hootie the Owl edition.  Batteries not included.

Layla's fuzzy jar finally reached the top after about 2 weeks worth of obedience rewards.  It took longer because she chose the tiny pink fuzzies instead of the large ones of other colors, which would have filled her jar quicker.  Anyway, the reward for her good consequences was an Ariel bath toy.  The ceremonies will get bigger as time goes by, but the simple recognition goes a long way at age four.

Being away from home for a couple of days is difficult because I miss Kendra and the twins.  However, Ouma and Oupa's presence in our house makes it much more tolerable.  My level of concern goes way down knowing they are having fun with the day-to-day hoopla of parenting Easton and Layla.

See you soon!
