Simulated Tranquilizers

Howdy friends and family,

Part of the fun in parenting is figuring it out as you go. The same thing happens when single people get married. Those who are changing from single to married or from married to married-with-children go through the same experience. Hearing others talk about what life will be like, but in no way comprehending the realities (both positive and negative) of the next stage in life. I feel very fortunate to have Kendra who spent much of her younger years as an older sister, babysitter, nanny, and day care worker. The experience carries over well to being a parent. However, I can count on one hand the number of times I held a baby before having my own.

That being said, I'll throw out a tip based on what I learned last night. Once Easton and Layla became active I found it difficult to know when they should go to bed. Kendra made it easy on me (and the babies) by mandating 7:00 PM as the magical bed time. For almost a year we've put the babies in their crib at exactly 7:00. I do well with absolutes so it was easy for me to lock that time in my brain and build our evening around bed time.

Earlier this week Kendra said we need to let the twins stay up a little later so they will keep 7:00 AM as their wake up time instead of gradually moving towards a 6:30 AM wake up. Last night we did the normal routine and then let them continue to play with toys while running around like a couple of Indians on a war path. Then it happened. At about 7:15 they just ran out of gas. They both slowed down to walking and then crawling and then sitting like this:

Then struggling mightily to stay vertical

Then to laying down without any chatter between them

And finally flat-out stillness on their backs against the cold travertine tile floor.

The whole sequence took only a couple of minutes. That's when I figured it out! There is a moment during the evening when you could swear someone shot them with a tranquilizer dart. It happens JUST like what you see on Animal Planet where out of control monkeys get tagged with a dart and slowly lay motionless on the ground. From now on I'll just wait until they get past the play stage to the sitting stage and then shuffle them off to bed just in time to wind down into a deep sleep.

That's my plan and I'm sticking to it! Yes I know kids don't adhere to plans and "every child is different". That saying should be "every child is different every single day". We'll see well this strategy works for me tomorrow night...

One other topic I'll cover is how Daddy feels about the U.S.A. I never want my twins to wonder where I stand on the issue of patriotism. I read in the news last week about a woman in Texas who was told to take down an American flag at work because it "offended some people". The next day I purchased the biggest flag I could fit against my office cube wall and now it looks like this:

I am overtly and unabashedly patriotic. Some things in life are worth fighting for and the right to be patriotic is one of them. Several coworkers and people who sit close by have commented positively about my oversized flag. I told them, "If I had a bigger wall, I would have purchased a bigger flag!" God bless America. I hope that clarifies what Daddy believes as far as patriotism is concerned.

Happy weekend to you all!

bye bye Oma and Opa

Greetings!

Even after my best effort to convince Kendra's parents to stay, they boarded the plane and went home anyway. Poor Easton and Layla wondered around this afternoon inquisitively saying, "Oma? Opa?" As tragic as that sounds, it's well worth it to have the week of quality time while they stay with us. They wrapped up the week by adventuring out to the Hanger cafe (on the local airport premise). Easton is enthralled by airplanes of any size so being able to touch one and stand next to it was certainly the highlight of his day.

Then they went to the water park because this IS Arizona and it is summertime so the normal daily activity involves water. Layla is hard to keep track of as she runs in and out of the water over and over. The only reason she stopped the cycle was when they packed up and went home!

I have no idea how Easton managed to get the pea stuck there, but it sure makes for a humorous picture (hint: look at his naval).

The pink blur in the Chuck Taylor Converse shoes is Layla running up and down the isles at Costco.

She calls it "coco"... apparently the ST isn't important enough, but we still know what she means and that's progress! Of course Easton has to match (makes daddy happy).

My closing thought for Oma and Opa is this: Usually in-laws leaving is a bitter-sweet time based on what others have said. For me it is just bitter. I wish they lived across the street from us and my parents and family lived next door. If anyone has a spare $10 million I could probably make it happen, but barring some lottery miracle it probably won't. Some of my friends describe how every Thursday night is their "date night", which is only made possible through grandparents who live in town watching the kids. I live vicariously through their stories. :) Life is going well for us and our families so there is nothing to complain about. However, being close to the twins' grandparents and family would be icing on the cake.

Speaking of cake... Kendra and I picked up a copy of the P90X DVDs. You may have seen the infomercials on TV? We start "day one" this coming Monday! Supposedly this is “Extreme home fitness” and Kendra wants to do it. She is excited and I'm supporting her as a good husband. It’s only 90 days and good things are bound to come from improving our diet and exercising according to the program. As my brother-in-law John said as worked his way through med school, “you can do anything for a few months!” For me, it'll just be an addition to the active hobbies I have. In a normal week I run a few miles , spend 6 hours training martial arts, and mountain bike 11 miles up and down desert mountains such as National trail. I feel fairly well prepared for whatever the videos require of me.

I'll certainly capture the journey here on the blog. You might be wondering what P90X has to do with adventures with twins? Well, I'm a firm believer that raising twins should be physically demanding on both parents if done properly. When I had cats I sat on the couch and used a laser pointer to run them around the room chasing the red dot for their exercise. Raising two 16 month old babies is much more interactive.

Time for bed. happy Friday to everyone.

zoo trip,

Hey friends and family,

Hope your week is excellent so far. May as well start off with the weekly version of:

WFMW (Works For Me Wednesday)

Yes, I know it is technically still Tuesday (10 PM my time), but by the time YOU read this Wednesday will have arrived. Kendra waited in line last week at the local library for 30 minutes in hopes of getting 4 adult free "culture passes" to visit the zoo. Her "mommy and me" group turned her on to the idea. Basically, the library has free passes to museums and the zoo and some other places. They give them out on a first come, first serve basis. The passes are valid for one week and then automatically expire. Cool, huh?

The 4 Webbs spent a wonderful few hours at the Phoenix zoo with Oma and Opa. I'll throw out some pictures from our adventures with as short of a description as possible:

What exactly are you planning to DO with the goat once you bite it, Layla?

Layla was probably puzzled by the goats ability to climb even though his legs are shorter than her own. Neither one of them appreciated the course hair on the goats. yuk.

Emergency Nilla Wafer snack break. Glad Mommy packed some goodies! Yes, they are covered in sun screen.

Chasing Easton and Layla around the splash pad was like Wesley and Buttercup wondering through the fire swamp. Instead of fire we dealt with water spouts and instead of Rodents of Unusual Size we dealt with Children of Unusual Size.

Easton did a great job of spotting the animals as they lay motionless in the back of their massive enclosures. Although it was hard to keep their attention when 95% of the animals were napping. Next time we'll have to go early in the morning or late in the evening. Here is Easton looking at us as if to say, "What turtle?

The twins love the slide. The twins love the miniature pool full of plastic balls. Oma and Opa decided to merge the two and took it to the next level: a slide with a safe landing.

Both of them practically dive off the top of the slide down into the balls. What a great idea!

Behind the pacifier is Layla's extra cute grin and as you can see it is contagious. She is so much fun and getting more clever every day.

Today I found out she knows how to open doors. There is a trip to Babies R Us in my future for door knob protectors.

See you soon!

First night without babies

Howdy folks,

Easton and Layla are 16 months old today! Last night was the first time Kendra and I spent away from the twins since before they were born. We experienced an excellent weekend at the conference and resort. I can't believe she lasted this many months without ever spending a night away, but somehow she managed (applause and cheers). I'm getting way ahead of myself chronologically so let's back up a few days and do this right, ok?

Opa arrived in town on Friday afternoon and found very quickly how much the twins have grown up since he saw them last. They said, "Opa" over and over for an hour and continue to ask for him and Oma by name. Some parents may get jealous about that, but we are more than happy for them to be excited about their grandparents. Welcome to the party, Opa!

We said, "Hello" then "Goodbye" in the same breath as Kendra and I headed out the door for the weekend to remember conference at the Wigwam resort across town.

I like the lace-up shoes on her! Here we are in front of our somewhat secluded room. No ice machine, no elevator, no people above or below... Just quiet, romantic isolation. Ahhhhh, it's been too long. The conference was amazing and I'd gladly pay double the cost of the weekend if I did it all over again.

Here are a few key points I took from the conference:
* Sheath my sword and roll out the welcome mat. Kendra is NOT my enemy.
* Become a student of Kendra (learn about her daily).
* When I think or write compliments of Kendra, say it verbally also because that is her love language (duh, ya bonehead).
* Ask Kendra what is her dream in life and help her achieve it.
* Fail Forward. There is nothing to be learned from the second kick of a mule. I.E. learn from mistakes, don't do it again, and keep moving forward.

I admit nothing in there is profound or so complex it should take an entire weekend to figure out. However, even if I know the right things to do, when I don't do those things then they become "back burner" passing thoughts instead of automatic reflexes.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, Oma and Opa did an excellent job of safely entertaining and caring for the twins. "Mommy and Daddy are gone... High-5 babies!"

After watching my friend's kids high-5 people, I've been looking forward to our twins doing this when they meet people since they are so friendly.

Easton and Layla giggled and splashed their way through the afternoon without even a thought of missing us.

Looks to me as though they were having the time of their life without us! Kendra and I are very thankful her parents are willing to spend the week here.

And we did the same, just in a different way. :)

Yes, that is my wife having more of a blast on the slide than any other kid at the resort. Thank goodness she still knows how to have fun or else I'd be a boring guy. At the end of the conference all 1500 people stood and held their spouse while repeating wedding vows. Those of you who attended our wedding know how badly I screwed up that part. I'll never live that down. However, today was a good start because I looked right into her eyes the entire time.

A few other key concepts I took from the weekend:
* bitterness is unfulfilled vengeance (not a good place to be)
* sex is a thermometer, not a thermostat (it is not possible to control a relationship with sex, but the frequency and quality is merely a measure of the relationship). That'll sink in and maybe hit you sometime tomorrow.
* failure is a verb, not a noun. Everyone fails, but no one is a failure.
* Thoughts become words, words become actions, then actions become character (be careful where you focus your thoughts).

We wrapped up the weekend with pizza, salad, and great conversation poolside with our friends Brendon and Danielle.

The only sad part of the trip was packing up and leaving. We would have loved another few days of doing exactly what we did all weekend.

We arrived home in time for one more dip in the pool in lieu of bath time. Easton loves to stand on the side of the pool and be splashed so we are more than happy to oblige. He'll stand there and get soaked with a big smile on his face.

When we stop he says (verbally and through sign language), "more please! more please!". so we drench him some more. I'm not sure who gets worn out more; him or us? Tomorrow is back to work for me, but the rest of the 4 Webbs are going to the zoo with Oma and Opa. Work will get in the way of fun again for me, but I'm grateful to have my job. They pay me to pretend to make a difference in the corporation (think Dilbert in real life). It's a dance in futility, but they keep paying me so i'll keep dancing.

Have a great week and we'll see you again soon.

Doodle bug

Hi friends and family,

Thought I'd write a short post tonight so I can get to bed early. Tomorrow night through Sunday afternoon is our Weekend to Remember marriage conference. I tried to convince Kendra I am a keynote speaker providing expertise in what women need, but she just rolled her eyes. Apparently I haven't arrived and I'll be listening and learning instead of teaching.

Layla's nicknames are numerous and for the next few days i'll call her "doodle bug". I came home from work to find Layla's legs covered in ink!

Luckily Oma took wash rag to her in the bath tub. She's back to clean and unmarked. When you give a 15 month old an ink pen there is a high probability of things getting messy like this. I hope she doesn't figure out where the permanent markers are! My sweet, little doodle bug...

Tonight the Lakers played (and won!) the first game of the finals. I dressed Easton up appropriately for the occasion and let him play with the stuffed basketball while Kobe lit up the scoreboard against the Orlando Magic. He STILL doesn't fit in my oversized jersey though.

Here is the picture I took last year about the same time and you can see he's making great progress to fit into it compared to last year.

I'm excited to spend the weekend alone with Kendra. I'm highly comforted because her parents will be in our house with the twins while we're away. I'll still miss them terribly and look forward to seeing them again on Sunday afternoon though.

I probably won't post again until Sunday night because we'll be busy enjoying each other's company without the twins for a few days. :) Have a great weekend!

3D Oma and videos

Welcome to another blog of our adventures with twins!

Every day is double the pleasure and double the fun... and double the chance of someone ending the day with bite marks, bruises from falling, or ketchup in their hair. I'll throw out my "Way Back Wednesday" photo to start things off. This is an old picture of the 4 Webbs when they were just 2 weeks old.

Can you believe they were ever so tiny? When I hold my hands together and look at my palms it is tough to remember how I used to be able to hold one of them in that way.

Kendra's mother (Oma) arrived today and her father (Opa) will be here tomorrow! We've been counting down the days for them to arrive. For the past few months the twins have only seen Oma and Opa through Skype (the 2D version of grandparents). However, now she is here and the twins love the 3D interactive version much better. After I came home from work we took a dip in the pool and put them through the regular routine of bath, books, and bed. We're going through bubble bath like crazy lately. I'm hoping Costco has a 5 gallon bucket of bubble bath so we can stock up cheaply.

And now for my 15 minutes of fame! OK it's really just 4 minutes, but who's counting? Below is the full sermon from last Sunday where I fought on stage against my instructor. The sermon starts at 10 minutes 45 seconds and my time on stage is around the 27 minute mark. I was glad to avoid speaking because I was already nervous about fighting. Even though I held the mic, I had nothing to say at the moment anyway so it worked out well. You'll have to press the play button and give it a minute or two to load the video before it will let you skip to the middle...

Overall I was ecstatic about the opportunity to be on stage and pleasantly surprised at how well it turned out. The video doesn't look nearly as real as it felt. I have bruises to prove it and I'm finally able to fully close my jaw all the way today. During the first service (this video is of the second service) I took a kick and a punch to the head. Even though he only used half his power, trust me... it rattled my brain! If you can’t view the video for some reason, here is the link to it: Ultimate Fighter: Series Review

WFMW (Works For Me Wednesday) - Craigslist... That's what works for me. I was torn this week whether to extol the virtues of buying a huge box of toys or the killer deal we got on the slide so I'll just mention both and wrap it in a "Craigslist" heading.

We went to Toys R Us and I spent the entire time wondering around the store emphatically calling out numbers. "35 dollars!?", "74 dollars?!", "159 dollars!?" I was stunned how much toys cost these days so every time I flipped over a price tag I uncontrollably called out the price in disbelief. We spent over $150 on barely a few toys and I felt as though I'd just been robbed at gun point when I walked out of the store.

Then I started looking around on craigslist and found those exact same toys for 25% of the retail cost. "Aha!" I thought to myself... Now I just need to convince Kendra it is OK to buy used toys. She reluctantly sent a few emails and made a few phone calls. After a day of searching I came home and VIOLA! a huge box load of toys and a hide-climb-slide thing all for $75. Now THAT'S what I'm talking about.

Easton took a digger into the carpet once before he figured out the secret is to lean back (not forward) when you slide down.

Once they figured out how the climb and slide part worked Easton stood on top spinning the randomly placed ship steering wheel while Layla went up and down the slide.

You can tell by the look on Layla's face this toy really does work well. They may be completely bored of it by this weekend, but for these few days I'm happy they are entertained and tired from the exercise.

I’ll close the blog tonight with a short clip of Layla laughing hysterically at Oma. You just can’t help but smile when you hear her cute giggles.

See you soon!

The party continues

Hello friends and family,

The whole first section has absolutely nothing to do with twins so forgive the mommy and daddy focus. Jump down below for the baby specific stuff...

The birthday week is in full effect -
Kendra's birthday week is moving along even better than I hoped. On Saturday night she went out for a night on the town with some girlfriends. Since it was "girls only" and there were no pictures, I have to take her word for how much fun she had with them. When she left the house all dressed up, made up, and painted (fingers and toes) I was jealous about missing the chance to be out with her like that. However, the whole point of the night was to have dinner and chat like a bunch of hens in a hen house and then dance the night away. They successfully did both and I was more than happy to stay at home with the babies. I hope she brought home some new dance moves so Easton and Layla can get beyond the minimal bobbing up and down at the knees... Good grief, they look like me when they do that white guy dance.

Stage fright and staged fight -
On Sunday I participated in a UFC / MMA fight demo in front of our whole church during Sunday service. It'll be on video on our church's website by the end of the week so i'll certainly post the link when it is available. My lead instructor and I fought for a few minutes. When I say, "fought" what I really mean is I was a human piñata. He flung me around the stage like a rag doll and let me tell you, it was real! I still can't fully close my jaw because he kicked me in the face so hard. I didn't plunge into martial arts expecting a knitting class though, you know? The fighting was very controlled and the scary part is he only hit me with less than half of the power he has. All kidding aside, it went really well and I was proud of myself for going through with it.

another 30th birthday -
Kendra made some very cool friends at the library during the weekly story time for babies. One of them, Angela, had her 30th birthday last weekend just like Kendra so we went to her house for a surprise party. Here are the birthday girls:

Everyone at the party was friendly and we were able to meet several new acquaintances. I tried my best to make friends with Angela's daughter, Emily, but she's a little shy. :)

Easton did a better job than I by befriending Dylan. They bonded by playing at the baby karaoke stand complete with lights, music, and a microphone!

Costco fruit -
After a long day of getting beat up in church and having fun at the birthday party we managed to get in a trip to Costco to pick up a few things. On the top of the list was a crate of blueberries for the twins. They absolutely go bonkers over blueberries and ask for them by name. As soon as Kendra brings them over to the shopping cart, Easton and Layla immediately start talking and signing. "more!", "please?", "blueberry?", jump down, turn around, pick a bail of cotton. They were doing every sign and word they know trying to convince Kendra to unlock the magic box of blueberries. She did so right there in the store as they hoped. Unfortunately, just after this picture Layla turned INTO a blueberry just like Violet Beauregarde in Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory...

Easton and Layla started a new stage of imitation yesterday. Supposedly that is the most sincere form of flattery, but I have to disagree. I woke up in my normal allergy induced congested state. I walked in to greet the twins with my normal, "Hiiiiiii baaaaabies!" Then I let out an uncontrollable loud sneeze. Layla and Easton BOTH thought about it for a moment and then did a fake, "achoooooo" sneeze followed by giggles. Not once, but for the next 3 minutes all I heard was Easton and Layla alternating, "achoo, huh huh huh... achoo, ha ha ha". I know to be careful of what I say and how I act around the babies, but this kind of mimicking sure is starting much earlier than I expected.

See you soon!

Too quiet?

Happy weekend folks,

Kendra's big birthday week kicked off Thursday and will officially end a week from tomorrow. Yeah, it's THAT big of birthday for her.

Every person has a "love language", which is another way to say, "what makes you feel loved?" One of the down falls of many people including myself is I try to show love to Kendra in ways that are MY love language, not hers. To be more specific, my love language is acts of service and sacrifice, but Kendra's is words of affirmation. The practical explanation is: Let's say I swim to Africa and dig up the most beautiful diamond in the world with my bare hands and gave it to Kendra. She'll be grateful, but she'd rather I just hold her face in my hands and tell her she is beautiful. Even though I have that bit of insight, I still mixed a little of my own style into her birthday week.

At work when I put in extra effort or do something above and beyond the call of duty, I get internal awards for 20 or 30 bucks. Over the past 6 months I've saved all my awards and gave Kendra the total amount to use towards gift certificates on whatever she wants. clothes, food, massages, movies, and a bunch of other ways to spend the money are available for her. I also picked out a dozen roses for her and brought them home on Friday. Friday night we went to our friends' house for an evening of dinner, swimming, and fellowship. There were 4 married-with-children couples all in the same stage of life and we always have exceptionally great times with them.

Kendra's cake was tasty and they decided 3 candles was better than covering the cake with 30 for fire hazard reasons.

Easton loves to wear hats as well as the various bunny ears and these Winnie the Pooh ears. He looks very GQ even in a diaper and T-shirt, doesn't he?

I just have to throw in this random picture from tonight of Easton and Layla in their bubble bath. They seem to always be right next to each other and I have to spread them out and convince them there's more space in the tub than they are using.

And now for my attempt to tell a story without giving away too much detail...

This is the large rug from our living room area where the babies play and we watch TV. You might be asking yourself, "Why is it in the backyard?" That is a very good question indeed. I gave Kendra the day off from taking care of the babies today as a part of her birthday gifts. She went to the nail salon to get her fingers and toes painted. I hung out with Easton and Layla at home while she was gone. I left the twins in the living room for a couple of minutes while I went into the bedroom to change clothes.

As I was digging around in my sock drawer I could hear the usual "moo" and "oink" and "ball". Then it became eerily quiet. I lunged towards the door, clearing our king size bed, and flung open the door to find Layla made of mess. I can't even finish the story without dry heaving so there's no need to subject you to the gross, yet humorous, details. Feel free to call me if you need a good laugh and I'll gladly explain the events leading up to throwing our rug outside. I still haven't figured out what to do with the rug.

Needless to say, now I understand EXACTLY what parents mean when they say, "it was TOO quiet"! I knew something was up. The only valuable thing to come from the experience is proof I have the daddy sixth sense to know when it's too quiet.

Kendra is out to dinner and dancing with some girlfriends so I'm sure she'll have her own stories from the day.

See you soon.

Turning Thirty and Toy Town

Hello hello,

Call Kendra and wish her a happy 30th birthday!

I can hardly believe it myself, but the day has finally arrived for Kendra to join the "adult" category since she is not in her 20's anymore. This is a picture from back in 2002 before we were married, but luckily she hasn't changed at all. Oh wait... I'll get in BIG trouble for saying that. Ahem... What I meant to say is: Kendra has "matured" gracefully over the years since we met. She truly has grown so much in her social and intellectual capacity, but I am SO glad she keeps the child-like silliness and fun factor. I hope she never loses that or my life will be b-o-r-i-n-g.

Many of her friends are a few years older so I know she's been looking forward to this day for a long time. For some reason she feels like she's "one of the crew" since she can be lumped in with the 30 something crowd. We are celebrating somehow every single day for the next week and I hope the events and gifts and gatherings are everything she hoped for.

For her birthday I gave her... two beautiful babies. Just kidding. Not about our twins being beautiful, but about them being her birthday gift.

Anyway, on to the non-stop exciting of raising twins. Apparently there is a business called, "Toy Town Playcenter" within a few miles of our house. They cram every toy known to man into a little warehouse. You pay a fee to get in and then let your kids run around like a bunch of Tasmanian devils. Not only do the kids get to play with tons of toys they don't normally see, but Mommy doesn't have to clean up the aftermath of destruction.

Here are some highlights: Layla and Easton's first car!

Easton is excited to have a one-seater so Layla isn't all up in his business.

You know how one of the common security questions they ask is, "what was your first car?" Well, Layla and Easton's response will have to be "Little Tikes"!

Here is Layla with her new friend, Emily. They are playing in the kitchen area and I can imagine Layla is trying to figure out how to get the microwave to heat her cup of soup faster. go, Go, GO!

Talk about going nowhere fast...

Sure seems like a good business model though. Maybe I should mention the idea to Danielle? She can charge neighbor kids to come over and play in their house, which is equally filled with fun toys!

Have a great weekend.

Family time weekend

Hi friends and family,

With Aunt Mary out of town we were completely without family here in Phoenix. At least we had Skype to have some video phone conversations with my family and Kendra's. We had invitations to hang out with a few friends, but ended up just spending time with just the 4 Webbs.

We ventured out to the public pool where there was a "zero entry" area. That means you can walk right into the water like at the beach instead of having to walk down stairs.

Easton and Layla drank a few gallons of pool water as they worked on their balance skills in the shallow section. The time there was worth the $3 total entry fee for the 4 Webbs even though we have our own pool. :)

As we were out shopping and running errands, Layla decided we weren't moving fast enough so she drove the rest of the afternoon.

The twins hit a few milestones this weekend. I held up the flashcard with the word "kick" on it and Easton said, "kick ball" as he pretended to kick a ball with his leg! Not only can he read and recognize the word kick, he was able to put it together with the word ball AND make the accompanying motion with his leg. Kendra and I looked at each other impressed by his accomplishment. Seems pretty good for a 14 month old, but I'm no child developmental expert.

Also Easton and Layla learned how to climb UP onto the couch. Unfortunately, this doesn't automatically mean they know how to get DOWN from the couch. We have to be very careful between now and the time they figure out the DOWN part. The concept of gravity has yet to be grasped by either of them...

After dealing with the twins arguing over a ball we resolved it with "Mitigation through duplication". This concept is very simple. two kids = two of everything. This way we don't end up walking around saying "share" more than a thousand times a day. We resolved the ball issue by buying 250 of them.

Kendra had the great idea of filling the little turtle pool with plastic balls. Now Easton and Layla can't get enough of rolling around in there.

This morning I woke up at 5 AM to go for a mountain bike ride with Judson and that turned out to be the non-family related highlight of the weekend for me.

Daddy needs to stay in shape and have some "man time" occasionally. Luckily Kendra is very supportive of my hobbies as I am for her.

Time to get back to work tomorrow, but at least it is only a 4 day work week! Kendra's parents will be here in 9 days, but who's counting?

See you soon.
